I would like to focus on 'innovation culture' in organisations for my thesis. Does anyone have any suggestions for research questions regarding this hot topic? Please share your idea's.
this is an interesting topic, and it is a topic that can be analyzed from many different theoretical angles... Gina O'Connor, Andrew Corbett and Lois S. Peters are about to publish a book entitled "Beyond the Champion" - it is all about making innovation a function in existing organizations. I am sure, that they have many perspectives that can help you identify a research agenda.
It is however also a difficult question, because what is 'innovation culture', how do you define an 'innovation culture', and which elements act as lever/barrier for an innovation culture? - My question is - i guess - do you frame innovation culture within the stream of research in 'organizational culture', do you take a sensemaking approach (organizing instead of organization), or do you take an organization design approach (structure, process, etc.)? - Previously you asked RG about Dynamic Capabilities; these might be affected (both positively and negatively) by the organization's innovation culture...
Actually, I wish that I had to write a thesis about this phenomena!
