About innovation culture just innovation orientation does not mean SUCCESS. Innovation based on just managers' ideas without market research and also evaluate the idea comprehensively cause failure and consequently will destroy innovation culture in organizations.
Short term thinking is the biggest enemy (barrier) of innovation culture. Adopting and nurturing an innovation culture will require investment/costs on the short term, but will generate long term benefits.
Fear of the unknown is a major barrier to innovation. People who also fear failure will likely not be innovative. Minds that are willing to venture into the unknown are what is needed for an innovative culture.
