I currently researching municipal plazas, and my respondents are the users of that area. However, when I'm about to ask for the population of users they said that there is no available data for that. Hence, I just search for the Cochran formula for the unknown population but I don't know if what I did is correct. I just assume that my respondents should be 385.

Generally, representativity is more important than calculating an exact sample size. If you want an indication of how large your sample size should be, then the first question should be how generalizable your sample needs to be and which analyses you want to perform.
Most sample size calculators will indeed return a value of 385 if you enter the standard assumptions along with an unknown populations size. But the bigger question concerns the goal for your survey. If you want to estimate a population parameter with some degree of certainty, then that is the appropriate approach. But if you are trying to test a hypothesis, then using the g*power program would be a better approach to estimating your sample size.
