The University of Dayton’s Department of Computer Science invites applications for multiple tenure-track Assistant Professor positions beginning on August 16, 2021.

The Department seeks experts committed to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education who also have a focus on research. The individuals holding these positions are expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, pursue an externally funded research program, advise and mentor students, and engage in service to the university and the community. Applicants must have completed all course work needed for a Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent related field, the potential for quality teaching and scholarly research, and articulate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education with a focus on research.  

The Department of Computer Science offers a stimulating academic environment with active research programs in growing areas of computer science. Recently, the Department has relocated to a brand new state-of-the-art facility with numerous cutting-edge research labs and classrooms, and a commitment to further expand and grow the faculty and student opportunities. The department offers Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D.  degrees in Computer Science, and also a certificate in Autonomous Systems and Data Science.
