I agree with you in that good teacher is more important than good method or strategy, since the good teacher has the ability to select how to teach what and when.
In fact there is no traditional and non traditional method. Here traditional method means the conventional method which, in Iraqi classroom, represented with memorization and repetition which returns back to behaviorism. In other hand we have the new methods that derived from cognitive psychology and constructivisim strategies, such as thinking strategies ( creative, critical, reflective..etc.) , scaffolding, Ausbals' organizers, problem solving, cooperative learning and others.However, behaviorism and its objectivity is still used in specific cases and in programmed learning.
