In flow boiling, numerous researches found that the wall superheat (the difference between the wall temperature and the working fluid saturation temperature) does not depend on the flow Reynolds number.
Can anyone explain the reason of that in details?? and does this always occur for any wall heat flux and any fluid flow rate??
When heat transfers by conduction from solid to fluid (convection), velocity will play a role to increase the difference between the temperature of fluid and solid. When heat transfers by boiling, the mechanism is different, at high speed bubbles formation will be quick with smaller size, and at low speed of flow bubbles formation will be slow with larger size. Both cases removed heat for evaporation will not be affected by velocity of fluid (Reynolds No.)
