The Wilson Plot Method may be used to calculate the surface heat transfer coefficients from the measured overall heat transfer coefficient at different mass flow rates in the heat exchangers.

The method depends on that if the mass flow (velocity) of one fluid (annulus for example) is constant, and the mass flow of the other (tube) is varied, the inverse of the overall heat transfer coefficient 1/UA will change with 1/vt^n.

I know the procedures of the method and know how to be used. But, I want to know a method used to accurately estimate the exponent "n".

Best Regards
