I am working on abaqus to get J integral for a compact tension specimen, may you help me, please in term of the magnitude of the load that should be taken according to the attached image.
I prefer to apply the load as „displacement controlled". But first you have to constraint the hole surface to master-point (see Abaqus; coupling constraints) and at this point define your load
if you want to obtain the load exerted on the red area, you can do the following steps:
first you have to create an integrated output section:
step module-->output-->integrated output section
select the surfaces of the sections you want the load on them.
create a history output request with integrated output section domain and under the force/reactions, select SOF. then you will be able to get the force time history for the selected sections.
dear majid, can you help me, please to find only the magnitude of the load that i must take before submitting the job and according to the attached image. if i only know the value of the load i can conclude the result of j integral or energy release rate
