I've just uploaded a piece to RG on an extrapolation of the Koch curve into three dimensions.
I haven't seen this shape presented by anyone else, and I think it might possibly count as “new”. However, since it's possible that someone may have found it before me, I'd like to ask the community whether its already a known result.
There are other fractal solids (a great big stack of them!) that can show Koch curve profiles and shadows (and intersections, etc.) when viewed from appropriate angles, but this is the only one I've seen that's built from Koch curves “from the ground up”.
Does anyone have any comments or reactions?
