The situation will need to be resolved, not by force of arms but by wisdom and political skill.

If the issues behind the conflict – land, resources, settlements, Jerusalem and refugees – are resolved in an equitable framework, no cause for continuing the current conflict should remain. This is the most obvious, direct and logical route to ending an intractable conflict that has destroyed the lives of so many people and damaged the Middle East so profoundly.

The alternative is the one-state solution. It is not proposed here in the sense of a fall-back position if the two-state solution fails, but rather as a fundamentally different approach to ending the conflict. It means the creation of a single democratic entity in which the two peoples would live alongside one another, without borders or partitions.

Whether and when all this will change is difficult to predict. But what is not in doubt is that the future for these two peoples will be a shared one.

Well, the Middle Eastern region and the crisis it has endured for decades now are majorly rooted in the empire cum colonial legacies that has configured the political behavior of leaders and political actors in that region.

So decolonizing this legies and the negative cum violent entangled political behavior remains the first internal issues to be addressed before we can now talk about the modalities for peaceful coexistence among both parties.

The likes of Ghandi of Indian or Mandela of South Africa is needed in terms of their charisma and positive political behavior in order to chart a new path towards pacification and unification.

Now, only best solution is to separate states. And that too with partition and Palestine to be together.
