I have coupled the proline methyl ester hydrochloride and hippuric acid and I want to recrystallize this product
I tried with ethyl acetate and petroleum ether but recrystallization does not work
if we know the other solvent or technique for this dipeptide recrystallization?
Before attempting crystallization, you will need to de-load some impurities from the mixture of the dipeptide product. Cold diethyl ether with flask-wall scratching of the product, and keeping it in, for minutes or few hours, fridge/cold condition may be required for the crystallization. Usually, first crystallization is not enough for pursuing product analysis or bio-use, a second crystallization, recrystallization will be required. A solvent that easily dissolves and fast vaporizes out, or hot-cold (RT) procedure treatment, at times with seeding or without seeding is used for crystallization.
Plz try with tetradecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide/heptane/octanol/carbonate buffer if possible
