Hi everyone,
I am trying to mesh the wing of an aircraft (DLR F6) using ICEM CFD (tetra) in accordance with the guidelines prescribed by Drag Prediction Workshop. I am quite new to ICEM CFD and facing issues regarding the growth rate of tetra mesh. I would like to have a mesh as in Fig.1 (that is, very slow rate of growth from wing boundaries to domain boundaries). But I am getting something as in Fig.2.
I am using Smooth (Advancing front) method for tetra meshing.
Can anyone tell me how to control growth of the tetrahedron?

You should define max size of the element you expect. In order to do it select mesh tab and than define Global Element Seed Size in Global Mesh Setup. I suggest you to enable also the Curvature Based refinement.
Next be sure you have moved the the wing surfaces to new part and you can see it in Parts in Model tree. Finally you can define all necessary sizing of tetra and prism elements in Part Mesh Setup table.

No, they influence the size increase (check tetra size ratio) and width of tetra of specified size as well (tetra witdth).
