Looking at many articles and books, I found different terms used for the same tissue structure.

The enamel organ is also called the dental organ.

The outer enamel epithelium is also called the external enamel epithelium and external dental epithelium and outer dental epithelium.

The inner enamel epithelium is also called the inner dental epithelium, internal dental epithelium, and internal enamel epithelium.

I would like to know the origin of these variations and if there is any universally accepted terms for these structures.
