Hi Everyone

I usually prepare TEM samples using mechanical polishing down to transparency of silicon, then Ar ion milling. Now I am dealing with SrTiO3 or Al2O3 single crystals, and actually in mechanical polishing I got in stuck. Even rough sandpaper is very hard to reduce the thickness of these oxides. Does anyone has experience on how to cope mechanical polishing without damaging the films on those substrates?Thank you.
