Recently, one of my colleagues found synaptophysin expression of Reed-Sternberg cells in Hodgkin lymphoma from the mediastinum of a young male patient. Initially, she did synaptophysin to exclude the possibility of small cell carcinoma. Does anyone have any similar experience or any rationale for this finding?
