Sustainable tools for researchers-" thinking back the basic and applying layman's logic"
throughout the research whenever you are stuck-up ?
when we are unable to reach the result we should stick to basic and logical thinking ?

Einstein once said, "You do not really understand something unless you can explain it to your grandmother.”
In his writings Jerry Fodor often referred to what his Granny would say. Daniel Dennett (cf. link below) attributed to Fodor the principle that "What is good enough for Granny is good enough for Science."
Clearly there is something to be said for simple common sense reasoning and avoidance of unnecessary technicalities and jargon. My own further thought is this: Don't wait until you actually get stuck to do something about it.
