IS COMPETETIVENESS A SICKNESS ? wHY ?
Competetiveness is defined as the The abality to Succeed relative to others ?
Till you are doing something to succeed as an individual , its a fine quality and abality , but as soon as you try to put others down and succeed, that becomes an attitude and habbit to show others down. and that can be sickness.
what is your opinion on this ? please do write your expert opinion.
There are societies in which competitiveness is strongly disapproved because it is seen as a threat to the harmony and unity of the community. In other societies, however, it depends largely on the degree cof competitiveness. It can be very healthy as seen in many sports but, taken to extremes, it can be dysfunctional both for the individual and for the group.
This is a very interesting question. I think it has to do with the way competitiveness is approached and why it is done.
If it is done as a means of self evaluation, improvement and connections with other groups then it is beneficial. If not.....

A competitive spirit is a good thing, I would say. It helps us aim higher. To do a little better than the best you think you can is the end, or the achievement. The securing of a trophy or other material things which might have been the motivation to compete are but triggers or provocations to raise ourselves. Without these triggering our competitive spirit we may settle for mediocrity rather easily since it is far easier.
When ambition, overweening in its nature, takes the place of the sense of achievement, then the material object becomes the end. It's no longer a competition to better ourselves, with the trophy being a trigger. The trophy, or in the case of education, a rank at the top for instance, becomes an obsession. Then, competitiveness becomes a compulsion that affects our sense of balance and, often, fairness. It becomes a sickness.
it is easy to confuse competitiveness and excellence.
so, it depends on how you attempt to be competitive

What is evolution? It is a change to adjust better according to changing environment.
Competitiveness is the same but for enterprise. It is well or bad?
It does not matter. It is about to survive. On war... if you don't kill , they will kill you!
