I need your help to find out references from literature where response collected from the Capital has been justified as representation of whole country.
For example, For Pakistan we select responses of people from Islamabad will it represent complete country?
Any references of collecting data from major cities and presenting it as the complete population trend or viewpoint is also appreciated.

In no case can a survey of the capitol be used to represent the entire country. Even if the capitol has 90% of the entire population of the country, there is that subpopulation that will be very different from those that live in the capitol.
That said, there will always be subpopulations that you miss in any survey. Understanding the limitations of the survey based on how samples were collected is an important aspect in interpreting the results.
Well, I would say that it depends on what y ou are going to measure. I would say for most of studies that it does not . Because people living in the capitals have different lifestyle than those living in a rural area, for example. There can be huge socio economics inequalities, bigger than in a middle size town. Moreover, there can be even difference in nationalities: in Istanbul you would find much more foreigners than in any other Turkish city.
I would prefer data collection among average size cities, honestly.
Nevertheless, you will never have a fully representative sample. You may also use capital city citizens, but you need to address in the discussion this point.
