In our recent investigation we compared Ag and Zn surface promoters of TiO2 activity against E. coli and S. aureus. We found that adhesion and hole radical attack were important issues in biocidal activity. The more important point was the light energy dependence of these two phenomena. While hole radical can be "understood" and predicted, adhesion showed a complex behavior. We think hat superhydrophilicity may play a role and want to know data which would justify (or not) this hypothesis.
