SUnSET assay in puromycin resistant cells?

Has anyone tried the SUnSET assay with Puro-resistant cells? Is it possible? Could you share the protocol, if it needs adaption for that case, please?

I tried, the incorporation of puromycin is much lower in cells that are stably transfected with plasmids containing the resistance cassette for puromycin.
