Could you give me advise regarding to model base isolation?
1]. Which one is appropriate for modeling base isolation, static strutural or explicict Dynamic?
2]. and what is primary consideration for selecting static or dynamic in ANSYS?
3]. What could static structural modeling until the material failure?

It really depends on the objective of your analysis. Are you concerned with a time history analysis to analyze the vibration of the isolation system? if so, then go for dynamic. Otherwise, model it in static.
