Started ChIP for the first time from mouse brain tissues, but not getting a good protocol as all of them have a different wash buffer composition ??

Can anyone share their established lab protocol that works well for mouse brain tissues and also do we have to isolate genomic dna from chromatin to check the sonication fragments or we can directly run the chromatin in gel , in that case how much should I load ?
