1,10 phenanthroline method is used for the determination of ferrous ion because iron in the solution is reduced to ferrous state by boiling with hydrochloric acid and hydroxylamine.
Similarly, in the case of ferric ion the standard iron solutions were prepared by dissolving ferric ammonium sulfate dodecahydrate in distilled water.But what reagents shall be used for the determination of calibration curve for ferric ion ? Kindly suggest me.
