See "A researcher has wrongly claimed co-authorship of my publication" in https://explore.researchgate.net/display/support/Authorship for instructions how to correct this. But unlike this help page suggests, most probably it was not the other author himself who wrongly claimed authorship, but ResearchGate's automatic algorithm wrongly identified another researcher as the author and assigned your publication(s) to his profile. This is a frequent problem in ResearchGate in case of similar names.

Thanks it is exactly what I thought. Ferrari is very common in Italy (same origin as Smith in UK/US and Schmidt in Germany), so A. Ferrari is also common...

Is there a way to claim multiple publication back (I mean not one-by-one, there are apparently quite a few wrongly attributed)?

Also, I do not know how much you are involved in the ResearchGate administration, wouldn't be better to "propose" an assignment but not to make it effective until confirmed, so that if somebody else claims it it goes to her/him with no hassle?

BTW I did not connect for sometime, and today I add to remove 636 (yes...) publications from my profile which did not belong to me...
