In many studies, we try to explore the nature of relationship between two variables. Many people think, if the relationship is not found, it is not a good research.
However, using the scientific approaches, if someone finds 'No' relationships between the two variables, isn't it still good a research? Can such research paper be publishable?
If your model predicts that the two variables will be equal (e.g., if one variable is the prediction and the other variable is the observed) then your research provides some corroboration for your model (how much depends on a number of aspects of the context). The results of your "research" don't determine if it is "research" or not.
Many things alone and in combination can result in the phenomenon: E.g., small sample size.
If there is a relation or not, then it is still a research paper. Main thing is the significance of the result.
