- about your petroleum ether (e.g. Cy (p.e. Merck, Roth..) , B.p. p.e. 40-60 ° C or higher.. a.s.o...). An answerer can give a valuable answer ONLY with precise infos .
If you are an expert in this field you should know what I was asking for. I did not ask for the solubility in what but to its Hansen/Hilderbrand solubility parameters. In that case the little changes between manufacturers makes no difference. But if you insist it is from Fisher chemicals the bp is 36-56C.
Thank you for the reply. The reason I didn't write which solvents I'm going to use it is because I don't have anything in plan. I know that PE is a mixture of volatile solvents but I need the solubility parameter for a theory I'm trying to write for phase inversion nanoencapsulation method. I do intent and already use it as a non solvent for plga ps pla and pmma. I thought of trying to do group theory but I'm not really familiar with the method plus it's a complexed solvent not just one molecule. I thought of maybe doing the calculation for mixtures but couldn't find exact composition. I was also under the impression that the solubility parameter is independent of other materials. Am I wrong? I know polarity plays a big role too but not other materials. Do you know how much hexane is in there? Do you think I can use the hexane solubility parameter of around 14-15 would be good enough?
