Hello,

Recently I've been studying some cases of scattering of plane waves by graphene coated surfaces. At first a graphene monolayer has been used as the coat. But now I wish the effect of multilayered graphene. From what I've seen in many papers, monolayered and multilayered graphene is considered as an isotropic material. But I've read in some graphene related books that graphene is an anistropic material i.e. a material characterized by a tensor permitivity.

So I am confused! Should we consider graphene as a anistropic material? Maybe monolayer graphene can be considered as an isotropic material but how about multilayered graphene though?
