I want to do an EMSA assay using the LightShift® Chemiluminescent EMSA Kit. For that, I will add Biotin-target to the DNA by PCR using biotin-labeled forward primer. I would like to know if the purification of PCR product is necessary to do the EMSA protocol or not, and if I have more options to purify it than streptavidin (I am thinking to use PCR clean kits, for example).
