In India, I am feeling that senior scientists are becoming super bosses over the youngsters , just to show that he is a section incharge. Every time, for a given task if not accomplished as per desire of the boss then instead of asking reasons for it, they start shouting, as a result of which, youngsters becoming afraid of his boss and could not tell truth. Is it required in scientific community? All are requested to kindly clear my vision by commenting on this issue.
Very often, the 'underlings' will either quit (and you will lose them) or become passive-aggressive. Rarely will underlings come back at a manager. If you want more information, check I/O psychology articles about this subject.
No, personally I do not see a reason why a scientist should show anger as a form of seniority. Scientific research and experiments needs collective efforts of a team as to come out with results after facts and observations has been made. Even personal researches needs extra hand as to achieve results. Fulton Sheen an American Catholic Bishop said that" no one has to be a Master unless he becomes a Servant." Anger is disastrous and need to be controlled in all spheres of human Life. With anger one can destroy an aged long relationship, business and of course scientific experiment that is near yielding results. Thank you.
