Just a thought that just popped into my head while in the shower. As a disclaimer, I must admit that I know nothing about H+ sequestration. I was wondering if anyone has thought about or is already sequestering hydrogen on a large scale from oceanic surface waters for a two-fold purpose: 1) to harvest hydrogen as an energy source, and 2) in an attempt to mitigate/slow down ocean acidification? Can it be done, and, if so, is it possible to do so on a large enough scale and with enough efficiency to actually begin reversing OA?
