With the dawn of the 21st century computer aided softwares & hardwares are used to optimize inustry operations.
Similarly we can see the use of Sensors in a Petroleum Production system with all the subsurface, and surface components being monitored and physical properties of the variables kept in check.
I was interested to know of research being done in this field where new challenges are being overcome & electronic sensors are being used to monitor and solve problems before they become a safety issue.
