Some people become more social and interactive with the use of alcohol, especially in social environments, e.g. parties. It brings out a side of them which could be seen as being more extraverted and open, something they may be struggling to express in the absence of alcohol.

I want to measure this trait by using self-efficacy and self-esteem scales when participants are in a role play of having a few drinks in a social atmosphere/ or in a control group where they are not in a social atmosphere. However, my question is, is using self-efficacy and self-esteem a good measure to what i want to find? For example, should i use self-confidence instead of self-efficacy; do i even need to measure self esteem in the first place? Questions as such. What are your thoughts; should i measure different qualities or are the current ones fine?
