Hi All,
Is it ok to prepare stacking and seperating/resolving gel stock solutions (mixing between Tris, 30%acrylamide mix, 10%SDS, and water, without adding temed and 10%aps) and store at 4 degree C? Or it is better to prepare them fresh every time before use.

You can store the stock at 4°C but, make sure that the pH of the stock solution is stable when you are preparing the gel.If not stable you could't adjust the pH,that will interfere with the composition of the gel.
have not tried it, but should be fine..only aps and temed to be added freshly
.Yes u can store the stock solutions of Separating and stacking gel at 4 degree but make sure that when u use it bring the solutions at room temperature. Moreover always add fresh APS and TEMED . If u use old APS and TEMED then it will effect the polymerization and then u have to increase the concentration of APS.
