Is there any other indxed bodies that are more credible than this Scopus?
Lately, Scopus seems playing business games (good indexed journals be delisted and bad preditor journals remain in the list).
Are they making money and profit from the indexing process? Poor journals that have litte fund to afford the indexing services were told to be delisted but the one big rich predators which afford to pay high indexing services are remain listed. If all these are true, then Scopus is jeopardizing its reputation, credibility and realibility... simultaneously affect our trust.
This situation really demotivates researchers all over the world especially the freshies who started to enjoy researching and publishing as well as sharing insights from their researches and works.
Thus, if there are or there is other credible and reliable index other than this Scopus, research world will be better.

Indeed, Scopus discontinue titles (and they do this a couple of times a year, see for latest list the enclosed file).
It would be interesting to see which examples you have in mind, as far as I can judge the latest delisting’s where quite understandable, like the three journals from the publisher Blue Eyes:

A more ‘stable’ indexing is the SCIE indexing from Clarivate. Journals normally are first indexed in ESCI index and while indexed there the journals are evaluated (and sometimes removed for various reasons). Once eligible for SCIE titles are rarely delisted (although it happens because of citation manipulation or because the journal didn’t generate enough published papers etc.).
But again, it would be interesting to see which examples you have in mind.

You are right. Scopus database is not trustable, since there are bad reputation and even predatory listed journals indexed in Scopus. There is another indexing database which is more trustable "Web of Science".
I think Scopus cann't be completely trustable as it contains hundreds of predatory journals and the process of discontinuing coverage of these journals takes a too long time. On the other hand, the web of science is the most reliable database.
There are some indexed journal, in particular open access journal that ask a charge for publication, did accept papers without real reviewing and comments.
I believe Web of Science indexing bodies (SCI, SSCI, SCIE, ESCI) are far better than Scopus database. I always prefer journals which are indexed both in Scopus and Web of Science.

Recently an attempt is made to identify the number of predatory journals in the Scopus list: Macháček, V., Srholec, M. Predatory publishing in Scopus: evidence on cross-country differences. Scientometrics (2021). https://doi.org/10.1007/s11192-020-03852-4 They used the Scopus title list of 2017. I just finished a short report where I checked how many of the ‘predatory’ titles as identified by the Macháček & Srholec paper are four years later still indexed in Scopus. It appears to be around 1/3. This can be interpreted both way: Scopus is doing a pretty good job (though it takes a while…) to spot bad journals and discontinued 2/3 of the titles. Or one can say in 1/3 of all cases Scopus is missing that there is something wrong with these papers…or the Beall’s list wrongfully so included these titles in the predatory list and Scopus (still) not agree with that ‘judgement’. My personal conclusion is: both the Scopus list and the Beall’s list are not flawless but still could serve as a first indication on whether you are dealing with a good or ‘bad’ journal.
Still, it is somewhat reassuring that Scopus discontinued about 2/3 of the titles identified as predatory (it would be interesting to see if someone will start a new investigation on how many ‘predatory’ titles have managed to be included between 2017 and 2021 since new titles and publishers keep on coming).
