I would like to ask your professional opinion regarding this matter. My study involves determining the prevalence and associated risk factors of parasitic disease in a study area. I used a sample size formula for qualitative studies (n=Z^2Pq/d^2) in determining my sample size for the prevalence of the disease. However, I was being asked to calculate as well the sample size for the associated risk factors. In line with this, can I use the same formula?

I would recommended that used the double population formula by considering the following assumptions: 95% CI, power 80%, a ratio of p1 to p2 was 1:1, P1= outcome among exposed group , P2= outcome among unexposed and 10% non-response rate.
