I've always blocked membranes for WB with 3-5% milk or BSA in PBST depending on the phosphorylation of protein to investigate. However, I am now reading in a protocol that they used the "Roti block" solution for blocking the membranes and I wonder why. Can I use the usual milk or BSA blocking solution instead of Roti block?

Thank you
