Drug repurposing has gained significant traction in recent years due to its potential to reduce time and cost in drug development. One promising strategy is the application of network pharmacology, which integrates systems biology, bioinformatics, and pharmacology to uncover multi-target interactions and disease–gene–drug networks. By mapping drugs to biological pathways and interacting proteins, we can identify novel therapeutic indications for existing compounds, especially for complex disorders like neurodegenerative diseases, cancer, and metabolic syndromes. I’m currently working on repurposing FDA-approved drugs using network-based approaches and would love to connect with others involved in similar research. What tools, databases, or pipelines have you found most effective in your work?
