I have isolated total RNA from gluconobacter oxydans. I want to do microarray analysis of my control and treated RNA samples . I have checked my samples on Bioanalyzer. The RIN value of my both samples is 6.9. It is ok, i just need more than 6. Samples are quite pure as their 260/280 and 260/230 is also +2. Concentration is also good. But the 23S/16S rRNA ratio is 0.1. Can any body help me in this case. Why it is low while RIN is 7.???

I would not worry about this. As the RIN is ok and the purity also, I would check the gel image by eye. Can you see the 23/16S? If yes, go ahead.
Dear Torsten, I have checked my samples on gel. There are two bands but estimated 23S band is not on right position. It should be at 3 kb but it is at in between 1-1.5. I have tried it many times with different methods but same results. Company rejected these samples to be tested for microarray just because of this reason. Any suggestions??
