Can anybody suggest a resource which includes the modeling of pulse propagation in optical fiber using split step fourier method and model the nonlinear optics theories in the book nonlinear fiber optics by G.P.Agrawal? If there is a basic course ,a lecture series or a book in computation optics, please do recommend it.

In this book, the generalized nonlinear Schrodinger equation is introduced as a great model for pulse propagation in nonlinear optical fibers. Numerical solution can be obtained by solving this equation in the frequency domain (it's different from split-step Fourier method which jump back and forth between time and frequency domain). Examples and Matlab code is also provided, it works very well for simple cases and how to implement for more complicated cases is also described. You need to modify the code though.

in order to expand your knowledge about the speudo-spectral methods using in this problem.
I would suggest you learn how to do the simulation of nonlinear optics in fiber from the tutorial written by Dr. E. M. Wright at the University of Arizona.
Also, as mentioned by Yan, we'd better note the definition of FFT in Matlab is different with in optics.

I would suggest, G.P. Agarwal book to understand the fundamental of pulse propagation in dispersive nonlinear media and for the modelling purpose try to understand matlab function fft and ifft, so that you can write your own code.
