Hey,

I'm looking for resources where I could learn about the fMRI parameters suitable for affective research with high subcortical precision.

We have a 3T Siemens scanner and parameters are monitored in the Dot Cockpit.

Ex. parameters:

1.5x1.5x1.5 (hence slice thickness = 1.5mm)

126 slices

Dist factor (gap) = 0%

FoV read = 192

FoV phase = 100% (I never change it)

TR = 1.635

TE = 53.6

Multi-band accel. factor = 9

Orientation = transversal

Phase enc. dir = A>>P

position = isocenter

angle = ?

and many more...

Do you know about any documentation that provides a tested parameter composition suitable for subcortical fMRI scanning?

In affective NS publications I often find 2x2x2mm dimensions, 36 slices etc. What I'm not sure about is if this is because the scanner has no other/better parameters, if this is reanalyzed data of a dataset where subcoritcal areas where not the focus or if this is chosen by purpose.

If you know about any resouces that could help me in setting the parameters, I would be highly thankful!
