Corruption has arguably created a space for the obscene growth in inequality and injustice. From that more control and the capture of what counts as information e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Google and TikTok, etc. threatens any hope of correcting the normalisation of wars, civil wars, terror, censorship, purges, genocide and ecocide. If democracy wasn’t broken, there should be the right to elect what form it should take. In terms of PR, one, two or multiple parties have failed to reign in and correct the power that private equity has to protect and abuse what can be described as corporate sovereignty. As such what could be called corporate democracy is diametrically opposed to democratic freedom; a choice to vote for an interests democracy, where diverse interests have equal rights to elect representatives and delegate. Can this situation be corrected?
