I am going to do an experiment where I want to check whether removal of the drug is able to restore the cellular function or not. I am searching literature but so far I did not get it if any. Can anyone help me to set a protocol for the experiment ?

Dear Anuj,
for sure you can use drug to perturb and/or rescue cellular function. Drug high troughput screening are based in this conception. In our lab we work in myogenic stem cell differentiation, and often we blocked muscle differentiation and then recovered after drug somministration (Langone et al., 2014).
