The GAD_Disease segment in DAVID 6.8 acquires the data from the Genetic Association Disease Database (https://geneticassociationdb.nih.gov/). GAD database was shut down in 2014. It has been 6 years since then, yet DAVID has not abandoned GAD database. My concern is, what is the relevance of the data now in 2020. Is it still scientifically relevant and usable in research, or should be ignored?

DAVID uses many other databases, also, it is basically used for functional annotation and classification.
Iman Hassan Ibrahim Thanks for your reply, but I am particularly interested in this GAD_Disease part, along with other functional annotations. I want to know, is this data is still usable, as the source of the information was closed back in 2014.
Six years in the NGS era where many variants were found to be associated with several diseases are too much in my opinion.
Look at some relevant alternatives:
- https://www.disgenet.org/
- http://www.hgmd.cf.ac.uk
where the former provides a restful interface to query data, while the latter needs a registration and no alternative to programmatically interface with its content, if not buying a license.
