Hello everyone,

I am working on soil enzymology. I will be using three extracellular MUB linked enzyme substrate i.e. 4 MUB N acetyl beta D glucosaminide, 4 MUB beta D glucopyranoside, 4 MUB beta D xylopyranoside. I will be preparing 200 micro molar concentration of each enzyme substrate solution. As a buffer, I will use Sodium Acetate Buffer (pH-6).

My question is :

Which solution should i use to prepare 200 micro molar concentration of these three substrates ? ( Distilled water, Sodium acetate buffer solution or any other solution ?).

I am confused regarding solubility of these substrates. whether it dissolves in DI water or not.

I will be grateful if anybody guide in this concern.

Thank You
