In my case study, both earthquakes in the same location, but different focal mechanism. I seen that normal fault has higher ground motion amplitude than reverse fault.
1- It is some odd that you seen two focal mechanism in same area because the focal mechanism is related to tectonic regime that is a regional phenomena (excepted in Pull-Apart area in a Compression regime). So, this is very rare case you seen in a same area.
2- Earthquakes can be Individual because the the involved volume of rock mass in a earthquake may differ with other earthquakes, results in difference in many characteristics of propagated waves.
3- You didn't present at least some data about magnitude of earthquakes in your case and at least type of regional tectonic regime.
Amplitude readings are dependent on the magnitudes of both events and the location of your station relative to the radiation pattern and differs for the P and S wave. I attached a figure showing the radiation patterns for body waves and a double couple mechanism.
