I want to reduce average particle size of Zinc powder (micro to nano) using high energy planetary ball mill (with HSS bowl and HSS balls). Please suggest me the complete procedure like time of ball mill running, surrounding atmosphere, ration and size of balls, etc. ?
Dry milling of Zn powder must consider heat generated during the process which lids to particles sintering or ignition.
The sintering and ignition problems are issues for using of dry milling techniques for production of zinc nanopowders if the milling is carried out with continuous cooling and using aditives and lubricants.
