When we perform analysis of intact Liver sample with Proton HRMAS NMR, how to optimize the resolution and how to reduce spinning sidebands ?
For exemple with a Bruker Avance III 500 spectrometer operating at a 1H frequency of 500.13 MHz.
Liver samples were spun at 4000 Hz

Sequences such as TOSS, PASS, MAT etc may be helpful in dealing with spinnig sidebands it is also important to take care in sample packing so as to eliminate air bubbles which result in large susceptibility differences and give rise to more intense sidebands. You may wish to have a look at the work by Alan Wong (CNRS/CEA-Saclay) and Stefano Calderelli (Aix-Marseille) as they have been doing work recetly on reducing subs under slow HRMAS conditions where they are even more problematic than at 4000 Hz.
