To separate plasma / plasma / red blood cells, we use SepMate with Lymphoprep. It works great for plasma and PBMC, but the SepMate membrane prevents us from recovering red blood cells (including P. falciparum infected RBCs).

As anyone managed to remove/destroy the SepMate membrane after use? Or maybe use a long needle and syringe to recover red blood cells?

Thank you for sharing your experience.
