Hi, I've been relatively late using latex and R. One of the things that catches my attention is the inexistence (or lack of knowledge on my part) of an editor that allows compiling R without running the entire tex code.

I have used Swave and Knitr in Texmaker and TexStudio, but they still do not seem like an optimal solution. (I do not know if Emacs will allow the compilation of the chunks as R does), on the other hand the use of Knirt, Markdown, Swave in R seems to me impractical.

Suggestions about it?
