As title says, my quantum dots material have excitation of UV-region (high energy) but I interested to shift the excitation to blue visible region(low energy). Please share your experience in depth also some reference. Thanks in advance.
Band gap of bulk CdSe is 1.74eV (red colour), meaning that you have a possibility to change the colour up to red. Quantum confinement effect is the basic phenomenon in the quantum dots. Just make your nanoparticles bigger by tuning the growing time, seeding conditions, etc. There is tons of open access literature!!!
You should synthesized near infra red emitting CdTe-GHS QDs they should have excitation of visible region. I synthesized it you can try to control the reaction to synthesized it. I did the excitation range was from 420 to 440 nm .
